Our Hands through Time

Our hands, with a voice so sincere, speak of ourselves.
Through them, we interact with the world and build our lives as well as our present.

The photographs help sustain our memories.
The images of ourselves far back in time unfold the states of consciousness that were seemingly swept away by the current of time. But in fact, they are still a part of our “here and now.”

Holding the photographs between our hands, we live and re-live the moments separated by the flow of time, reuniting who we were and who we are now.

These pictures have been taken during january and february 2011 in Tokyo, Yokohama and Chiba, Japan.

Mani nel tempo

Le nostre mani, con voce discreta quanto sincera, parlano di noi.
Per loro tramite interagiamo col mondo e costruiamo la nostra vita, il nostro presente.

Immagini di noi stessi lontane nel tempo, ci mostrano stati di coscienza che lo scorrere degli anni ha solo all'apparenza allontanato, ma che fanno comunque parte dell' "ora" e del "qui".

Tendendo fra le mani queste fotografie viviamo la fusione di istanti separati dallo scorrere del tempo, riunendo ciò che eravamo con ciò che siamo.

Queste immagini sono state realizzate nei mesi di gennaio e febbraio 2011 a Tokyo, Yokohama e Chiba, Giappone.

手と手ー時空を超えてー

手は偽らない。
たとえ装ったとしても。
私たちの手。
手を使い、生活が営まれ、
手を通じ、世界とつながる。
そして、手は私たちの「今」を映す。

写真は風化してゆく記憶を呼びさまし
時を超え、場所を超えて
遠いあの日の感情や感覚を蘇らせる。
小さかった手。
柔らかかった手。

生きること
生きているということ。
